Deutsche Version   Teachers Training Our three-week advanced learning exchange gives German teachers an opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the USA, Australia, and Canada. Also, they can advance their pedagogic and language skills. The programs contain a preparatory weekend-course in Germany, the three-week stay in the USA, respectively Australia, and end with a "certificate". In cooperation with the American University in Portland, Oregon, the Australian University in Brisbane, Queensland, and York University in Toronto, the d.a.i. has developed program formats concerning such central study areas as "American Studies" and "Australian Studies", fitted to the interests of German teachers of English. The programs deal with current social and cultural questions as well as regional aspects. Contents of educational and school system, and also ESL- methods (English as a Second Language) will be taken into consideration.
