Nemesis is a gripping story, which explores the subjects of fear, suffering, pain, and guilt. Amidst a life-threatening polio epidemic in a Jewish neighborhood in Newark in 1944 and a seemingly safe children’s summer camp, the playground director Bucky Cantor grapples with the worry and guilt he feels towards the neighborhood’s children.
