Tom Franklin “Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter” – Online Reading Tour 2021

Live reading with Q+A with Tom Franklin, University of Mississippi. Since 2019, the award winning novel Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter is the compulsory reading for the topic of The Ambiguity of Belonging in the Abitur in Baden-Württemberg.

Tom Franklin came to Baden-Württemberg in 2018 as well as 2019 and was greeted with outstanding curiosity and enthusiasm. Keen to enable even more students to meet him, Franklin has agreed to join the d.a.i. again – this time digitally. During two online readings with Q+A, students and teachers will have the opportunity to learn about the author himself, his novel and its relation to the topic of The Ambiguity of Belonging.

Tom Franklin is the award-winning and New York Times bestselling author of Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter, which was nominated for nine awards and won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the prestigious Crime Writers’ Association’s Gold Dagger Award. Winner of a 2001 Guggenheim Fellowship, he teaches in the University of Mississippi’s Masters of Fine Arts program. He is married to Mississippi Poet Laureate Beth Ann Fennelly.
