Coding Camp

Mon., October 31 - Fri. November 4, 2022 (fall break)

daily: 10 AM - 4 PM

About the Camp

Our new coding camp provides children and teenagers with the opportunity to make their first experiences with coding. Under the supervision of American media educators, they will develop a better understanding for the mode of operation of different programs that they encounter daily on the laptop and mobile phone as well as programs that they might be less familiar with. They will learn the basic concepts and logic of coding, and in the process gain confidence and skills in working with a challenging software.

During the camp they will develop their own games, apps and websites that they can continue to use, further develop and share with friends and family after the camp has ended. Age appropriate programs will simplify the complex processes and introduce the participants to coding in an intuitive and playful fashion.

The camp will be almost always taught in English. The supervision by the American language teachers as well as the fact that the internet and coding world is predominantly in English will help the participants to improve their English in a dual manner.

The small group size will allow for individual support for each participant and their own coding project. Prior knowledge is not necessary but an interest for technology as well as a willingness to experiment and fantasize are recommended.
