"What Do Human Rights Do?" - Panel Discussion
For a number of years now, the idea of universal Human Rights has come under critical scrutiny: given its intellectual origin and eventual employment in periods of Western colonial expansion and the Cold War its contribution to global justice cannot be taken for granted. In this panel discussion, a number of scholars will discuss the complex history of the concept of human rights and inquire into ways of talking about justice beyond them.
