Did we make you curious? We are happy to welcome anyone who wants to support our binational institution with their membership – and strengthen German-American relations in the process.

We offer two types of memberships:

• the regular d.a.i. membership (individual 35 €, families / couples 45 €, institutions / companies 185 €) 

and the

• sponsoring membership (100/250/500 €) to offer special support for our sponsoring organization

As a member, you enjoy many benefits:

• Free or discounted entry to all d.a.i. events

• Free use of the library (instead of an annual fee of 12€)

• Discount on all language courses (usually around 16€)

• Our cultural and language programs will be sent to you (by mail or e-mail)

• Invitations to special events held by the d.a.i., e.g. exhibition openings or the summer reception

• Your membership fees are tax-deductible (Völkerverständigung); the Tax Agency accepts your bank account statement as sufficient documentation. As a sponsoring member, you will automatically receive a donation receipt.

You can also receive discounts at our affiliated institutes in Freiburg, Heidelberg, and Stuttgart.

Sponsoring members also have the following benefits:

• Exclusive evenings and get-togethers with public figures

• Reduced fees for company language courses and intercultural training sessions

• Support with your USA projects
