Coping with Covid: Mental Health Strategies for Everyone

The pandemic has put a strain on all of us. Having to work from home, missing out on our physical exercise, group gatherings, concerts, or simply the fact that visiting friends and family has been mostly impossible for a long time – COVID has challenged us both physically and mentally. Dealing with these challenges isn’t easy and most of us could use some additional help in coping with the effects of the pandemic. That’s why the d.a.i. is hosting Coping with COVID, a two-part video series by mental health expert and fitness trainer Sandra Kim! In her first session, Sandra addresses mental coping strategies (thought training, intention setting, building up confidence), while she focuses on physical approaches (workouts, helpful diets, arts & activities) in her second session. Join Sandra for a handy set of tools to add to your mental toolbox!

Sandra M. Kim is a mental health clinician, fitness instructor, education consultant, former youth pastor, art teacher and higher ed administrator. Originally from California, she has lived in 6 different countries (including Germany) which has influenced her perspectives of the world and people. Having worked around the world, she is also well-versed in the triumphs and challenges of the ex-pat life. Her hope is to bring an overall health and wellness mindset to her audience, merging together the mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, relational, and professional/academic.
