Conversation group with d.a.i. teacher Scott Stelle.
On February 24, 2022, the Russian army attacked Ukraine, turning the prevailing conflict into war. On the occasion of the anniversary, the Study Group will turn its gaze towards the East. For this purpose, the volunteer aid organization "SonnenBlau" will visit the German-American Institute Tübingen (d.a.i.) to talk together about their effort to support friends and family members in Ukraine financially and with medical supplies.
SonnenBlau is a group of volunteers that was founded four days after the war began to support the ones in need. Kostja Gosau Reed from Germany, Felita Gosau Reed from the USA and Viktoriya Trehub from Ukraine are the driving force behind the initiative, collecting donations, purchasing medical supplies and eventually transporting them to their "Emergency Team", medical personnel in Kiev, Ukraine. The group is working from Tübingen, Berlin and Luxembourg.
