Format

Our most successful format is the Conversation Visit. It offers school classes and other study groups the opportunity to meet an American guest at eye level to talk about everyday topics like High School, Teenage Life or Holiday Traditions. A lot of the time our rentees are exchange university students and close at age to the students. Often, this helps the pupils to overcome their inhibitions more easily.  

As a teacher you can request a topic that you would like to discuss in class and talk about it with the rentee in advance.

In the warmer months of the school year (spring till autumn) we additionally offer Baseball-Visits. In these pupils will learn more about the popular US-sport and get an opportunity to try it out for themselves. You can borrow our Baseball-set which consist of gloves, balls and much more. Don’t hesitate to ask us!

Process

Ideally a Conversation Visit should take at least 90 minutes. You can also invite multiple rentees for multiple classes/study groups. Why not talk to your colleagues and get them on board as well?

For every pupil and guest there is a 2€ service charge. Is your school as d.a.i.-member? Then you will only pay 1€ per student and guest.

Our offer is not commercially oriented and our rentees are volunteers. Therefore, the service charge should cover the incurring travel costs.
