No library card yet?

You need a library card to check out media! You can get this from the circulation desk during opening hours, or you can fill out our registration form from home. Just download the pdf file, fill it out and send it to Bibliothek@dai-tuebingen.de

Cooperation agreement between libraries in Tuebingen

With a valid d.a.i. library card, you can use the Tuebingen Public Library and and the library of the Institut Culturel Franco-Allemand free of charge. That also works the other way round! 

Show your library card, along with proof that it is still valid (e.g. the receipt of your last check-out) at the respective library and register with us, the Public Library or the Institut Franco-Allemand.

When checking out something at a library for the first time, please bring some ID.

Extension

• The loan period of all media can be extended twice, as long as there is no reservation for the medium and your library card is not disabled.

• You can extend the loan period online, by phone or by E-Mail.

• You will need your library card number and your password.

Reservations

Media that are currently checked out can be reserved for a fee of 1 € per medium. This works 24/7 in our online catalog; just click the „vormerken [reserve]“ button and enter your login data. You can also make reservations in person or by phone (07071-79526-16). You will be notified once the media are ready for check-out – they will be kept ready for you for two weeks.

Internet-access and copies

You can use one of the PCs in our library to access our databases and the internet. The first hour is free of charge, each additional hour costs 1.50 €. Copies can be made for 0.10 € per page. Just ask our staff!
