The d.a.i. is a politically independent culture and education institute that fosters German-American relations.

There are many opportunities to work with the d.a.i. – as a language instructor, intern, or volunteer. You will find us to be an open, helpful, and international team, and working with our institute gives you the chance to dive into the varied cultural worlds of the USA and Germany.

Besides interesting lectures, critical discussions, and diverse exhibitions, we offer: English and Spanish language courses that are only taught by native speakers, culture and language trips, and intercultural projects such as “Rent an American reloaded.” An important part of the German-American Institute is the library, with its large selection of movies, TV series, many English-language fiction and non-fiction books, and much more.
