we advise you and support you on every step – for free!
In our library you find textbooks, newspapers, magazines and
books on relevant topics in the English curriculum.
Our events, exhibition, library and language courses adhere to the current Corona decree.
Despite the lifted mask mandate, you are very welcome to continue wearing a mask inside the d.a.i. to protect people who are part of high-risk-groups.
All those who cannot be present on site are still welcome to enjoy the d.a.i.'s digital program from home!
An important improvement can be found in the d.a.i. event hall: with the help of the support program “Neustart Kultur” the d.a.i. invested in a modern, corona-compliant air conditioning and ventilation system. Thanks to this we are able to provide fresh air even at heavily visited events. Additionally, every room has a CO2-analyzer to ensure ideal ventilation hygiene during our language course.

More than 70 years after founding the “America-House”, it is impossible to imagine Tuebingen’s cultural and educational landscape without the German-American Institute. Every year we offer more than 200 cultural events: Talks, exhibitions, movie nights, discussions, readings, information events, and concerts. Fascinating presentations, including talks and academic lectures – and not just narrowly focused on America – are also among the key offerings of the d.a.i., as are lively language courses in English and Spanish, American TV series and the latest bestsellers in the library, as well as comprehensive advising on the topic of exchange. We also offer youth camps and study tours to the USA.
