Screening. Joins us for a special screening of the science fiction film Arrival (2016) directed by Denis Villeneuve. Based on Ted Chiang’s novella Story
of Your Life (1998), the film explores themes of communication, time, and human connection through the arrival of mysterious extraterrestrial
beings on Earth. The film raises important questions about language, otherness, and how communication impacts cross-cultural encounters.
Following the screening, we will offer an interactive talk with one of our native-speaking teachers to discuss the film's deeper themes in relation to the
focus topic of the English Abitur On the Move: Migration and Cross-Cultural Encounters.
