Mit unseren Silent Reading Partys wollen wir für einen Abend im Quartal alle Filmadaptionen, die Bewertungen, Video-Snippets und Fandoms in den Sozialen Medien ignorieren. Lasst uns gemeinsam in der gemütlichen d.a.i.-Bibliothek in fabelhafte Geschichten eintauchen. Bringt eure eigenen Bücher mit oder leiht euch welche in unserer englischsprachigen Bibliothek aus. Egal ob angenehme Hintergrundmusik oder auch absolute Stille, Sofa, Sessel oder großes Kissen: Für
jede*n ist etwas dabei und etwas zum Knabbern natürlich auch! Passend zum Valentinstag gibt es das Special „A Date with a Book“, bei dem man neue Bücher kennenlernen kann.
With our Silent Reading Parties, we want to ignore all the movie adaptations, reviews, video snippets, and fandoms on social media for one evening a quarter. Let's immerse ourselves in fabulous stories together in the cozy d.a.i. library. Bring your own books or borrow some from our English-language library. Whether you prefer pleasant background music or absolute silence, a sofa, armchair or large cushion: There's something for everyone and something to nibble on too, of course! In keeping with Valentine's Day, there is a special “A Date with a Book” where you can get to know new books.
