Ranging from childhood recollections to quirky cultural observations, these micro-memoirs build on one another to arrive at a portrait of Beth Ann Fennelly as a wife, mother, writer, and deeply original observer of life’s challenges and joys. Fennelly is a Mississippi Poet Laureate and author of six books, and teaches at the University of Mississippi, where she’s Professor and Director of the Masters of Fine Arts Program. She’s won two teaching awards, the Liberal Arts Outstanding Teacher of the Year and the 2011 UM Humanities Teaching Award, and is married to Tom Franklin, author of “Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter”
